The Egg Collector  is perched on a tree stump watching the hen and her chicks after collecting eggs for the morning breakfast.  She wears a plaid silk underskirt, taupe linen overskirt, linen stomacher and fine cotton under shirt.  Her apron and hood are from an antique hankerchief with pulled thread design.
